Crown

Crown is an artificial tooth shaped prosthesis that covers a tooth and restores it to its normal shape and size. It strengthens and improves the teeth appearance. It protects teeth with large filling from fracture. It is usually indicated for teeth that has been damaged, severely decayed, fractured or attrited. Crowns are sometimes used to cover badly discoloured and crooked teeth. Crown could be made of metal, plastic, or porcelain.

Bridge

Missing tooth/teeth may affect a person’s chewing efficiency, speech and appearance. A bridge helps to replace the missing tooth/teeth by anchoring to the adjacent teeth, which are usually crowned, for support. Unlike a denture, which can be removed to clean, a bridge is fixed. Therefore good oral hygiene is extremely important for the health of the gums and supporting teeth and to ensure the longevity of the bridge.
