A smile can be the most eye-catching feature of a face. With today’s dental advancement, no one has to settle for stained, chipped or misshapened teeth. You now have choices that can help you smile with confidence. That is cosmetic dentistry.

Tooth Whitening (Bleaching) The procedure involves removing stains and discolouration on teeth chemically. The bleaching gel works by lightening the pigmentation within the teeth. Yellowish hued teeth respond well with bleaching, but grayish hued teeth probably may not bleach well at all.

In-office tooth whitening (Brite Smile)
The procedure is done in the dental clinic. The teeth are isolated and a bleaching agent is then applied onto the teeth. A special light may be used to enhance the action of the agent. Results are usually obtained within an hour.

Home tooth whitening
In this procedure, custom-made bleaching trays and bleaching gels are given to patient to bleach the teeth at home. Patient usually has to wear the bleaching trays for several hours a day, for several days in order to obtain the results.

Cosmetic Bonding

Bonding is a procedure where a tooth-coloured filling material is bonded onto the tooth surface. It is usually done to correct minor chipped teeth, unsightly gaps between teeth and decayed teeth. Tooth coloured fillings are popularly used to replace unsightly amalgam filling for the back teeth, to restore the pleasing smile.

Porcelain Veneers

Veneers are wafer-thin, custom-made shells of porcelain, which are bonded onto the front surface of the teeth. The procedure usually involves minimal trimming of the front side of the teeth to accommodate the thickness of the veneers. This is the best solution for teeth that are discoloured e.g.: tetracycline or non-vital teeth, fractured and gaps present between teeth or mild crooked teeth.

General Dentistry

This includes general routine check-ups for both adults and children, e.g.: scaling and polishing, fillings and preventive dentistry such as fluoride treatment and fissure sealants.
